Our customer wanted his wedding band made from his late father's ring but he also wanted damascus steel.
We came up with an idea to use the ring as it was as much as possible, including some tiny scraches etc., sandwitched between 2 Damascus steel rings. We made a platinum lining inside the ring which holds them all together.
The yellow color of the original ring and dark silver color of the Damascus rings became a very nice contrast. Also the original ring's pattern and the pattern of the Damascus steel created stylish, yet musculine image.
